| Description: | This learning module looks at quality assurance in E-Learning projects. It introduces the question of quality and its assurance in a general context and then presents the different standards to take into account when producing E-Learning content or providing E-Learning services. It also deals with the different quality fields of E-Learning and the four types of learners. The final lesson describes the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) in some detail. |
| Objectives: | You will be able to describe specific aspects of quality in E-Learning and state factors in the learning environment and characteristics of learners that contribute to quality in E-Learning. You will learn about instruments for Quality Assurance, understand the concept of Learner Centered Quality and get to know four types of E-Learners with different quality preferences. You will also learn about the advantages of using E-Learning standards and get to know the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM). |
| Prerequisites: | You should have basic knowledge regarding the special aspects of E-Learning and the process of designing an E-Learning course, as well as basic knowledge about quality and quality assurance. |
