| Description: | Successfully completing an E-Learning project requires a variety of technical skills. This lesson focuses on the technical aspects of E-Learning consulting. It provides a description of the process and management of content generation for E-Learning projects, presents a wide range of authoring tools, learning management systems and learning content management systems and treats the eXelearning authoring tool in depth. It also dicusses the concept of telecoaching in depth and ends with a lesson describing the details of planning and calculating customized content development projects. |
| Objectives: | You will be able to define the framework of developing content, understand the different phases in structuring content, and define the priorities of learning content. You will develop an understanding of the E-Learning ecosystem, understand the difference between asynchronous and synchronous tools and learn about advantages of using Open Source in E-Learning. You will be able to install and use the eXelearning authoring tool. You will know the tasks of telecoaching and be able to name and distinguish the different phases of telecoaching. Finally, you will be able to estimate costs for customized content development and teaching and acquire skills to plan customized content projects thoroughly. |
| Prerequisites: | There are no special prerequisites for most lessons in this learning module. For the lesson on eXeLearning, you will need basic computing skills and access to a PC with administrator rights. For the lesson on telecoaching or E-Coaching, you will need basic experience in communication and cooperation within groups, basic knowledge in pedagogical and didactical methods for learning processes, and basic IT skills. You also need to have access to an application with asynchronous and synchronous communication features (such as a web forum and chat room). |
